Privacy Policy

• Account — name, email address, and phone number, via our authentication provider.
• Farmer profile — district, land size, primary crops, and optionally bank account number and IFSC for payouts, and the last four digits of an Aadhaar number for KYC.
• Buyer profile — business name, business type, city, and delivery address.
• Activity — listings you create, orders you place or receive, messages you send, price alerts, loan applications, and scheme applications.
• Technical — IP address and request metadata, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising. ANKURA contains no advertising and no third-party ad SDKs.

To operate the marketplace: to show your listings to buyers, process and settle orders, calculate an internal credit indication, check government-scheme eligibility, and send you transactional messages about your own orders. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling unrelated to the service.

• Other users — a buyer sees a farmer’s name, district, and listing details when transacting, and vice versa.
• Clerk — authentication and identity.
• Neon — database hosting.
• Razorpay — payment processing, where you pay online.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Groq — generating price-advisory explanations. Only crop and price context is sent; no personal identifiers.

We disclose data to authorities only where required by law.

Under the DPDP Act you may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct it — profile fields are editable in Settings.
• Erase it — delete your account from Settings ’ Account in either app, or see how to delete your account.
• Complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Deleting your account tombstones your profile immediately and hides it from the app. It is retained for 30 days so an accidental deletion can be undone by signing in again, then removed.

Orders and listings you were party to are retained after deletion, because they are also the other party’s transaction record and are needed for tax and dispute purposes. They no longer identify you in the app.

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and held in a managed Postgres database with access restricted to the operating team. Payment card details never reach our servers — they are handled entirely by Razorpay.

ANKURA is currently in testing. Treat data you enter as test data, and do not enter bank details you would not be comfortable sharing during a pilot.

ANKURA is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
